Chalcopyrite is a copper bearing mineral and is of high economic importance. The mineral has a brass-yellow colour to it and may sometimes be iridescent, resembling bornite. 

Chalcopyrite is found in South Africa, Namibia, Zimambwe, Botswana and Swaziland.
